Born on May 7, 1988 François Lévy has always invented, manufactured and repaired objects. Graduated from the Special School of Architecture in 2011, he works at different scales : from objects to buildings, including scenography and set-design. After a position in an architectural agency, he devoted himself to the manufacture of set-design by working as a builder and designer with Les Décors Papillons. During this period, he participated in numerous set projects for photographs, videos and events.
In this specific context, he learns and experiments with working with materials: wood and metal, but also plastics, as well as molding. These achievements encourage him in 2018 to launch his own activity and to devote himself mainly to the development of his projects in the field of object and furniture design.
Today independent, he works through different practices:
Design; publishing projects; commissions or creation of art furniture.
His work refers to the diversity of materials that have always fascinated him. Its creative process is closely linked to manufacturing, whether industrial, artisanal or artistic.
The use of objects is at the heart of the questions that guide François Lévy’s work, in order to understand them, but also to reinvent them or to hybridize their usage scenarios. Finally humor and lightness are like two red threads in his creation.
What I can do :

• Design and support the production of a product.
• Design a scenography, or any space on that scale.
